Exciting news! We’re adding a new groups for parents.
Here are the details:
Starting: December, 5th! (We will not meet 12/26/17)
Meeting time: every Tuesday 5:00 pm – 6:30 pm
Meeting Place: Ronald McDonald House West (2115 SW River Pkwy, Portland, OR 97201)
Join current NICU families and families of NICU graduates as we discuss what it’s like to be the parents of medically-fragile children, while living with depression, anxiety, and birth-related PTSD. There is a NICU focus to this group, but one need not be a NICU family to attend. It is open to anyone experiencing perinatal mood disorders, even mild symptoms. As always, there is no fee to drop in.
The group is facilitated by a parent of a NICU graduate and a former NICU social worker.
Please join us– we’d love to hear your story.
RMHC is housed in the Residence Inn by Marriott Portland Downtown/RiverPlace. We’ll meet on the 2nd floor in the Morrison/RMHC Family Room (located right off of the elevator). It is large, comfy and inviting room with plenty of seating.
Parking is free for group attendees. To access free parking, pull through the parking garage and to the last yellow gate (closest to the exit). Press the call button and let them know you are with RMHC and attending the group. Staff will open up the gate, then you can park in any space. There is no need for a parking pass.
Limited childcare is also available at no cost on the 5th floor. Please sign your child(ren) in, then join us at group. (Please, no sick children.) Non-mobile children or those with special needs who need to stay with parents are welcome in group. Babes in arms are always welcome too.
NICU parents at OHSU can take the tram for free from campus. Get your tram tickets from the front desk of the NICU.
