Our next new volunteer training is on October 13th! Are you interested in joining us?

Read more before you decide.

Baby Blues Connection provides free support and resources to mothers and families who are coping with perinatal mood disorders. We do this through phone, group, email and online support. We’re driven by volunteers and they are vital to our organization. They are truly our greatest assets. Help us, help others!

We’re seeking direct and in-direct support volunteers who can attend this one-day training. We need volunteers to provide 1-4 hours of time per week and commit to at least one year. At this training, you’ll receive an overview of all perinatal mood disorders, emergency protocol procedures and basic task instruction.

But your support and training doesn’t end there! You’ll be paired with a mentor who will be there for you. They can answer questions and give insight for your first three months. You’ll receive ongoing training at our monthly volunteer meetings too.

We’ll connect through monthly, face-time, small group chats, as needed. And you’ll be added to our private Facebook group, where all volunteers can ask questions and find resources. Receive support yourself here too! You truly join a tribe.

What’s required? We love volunteers who have experienced some form of perinatal mood disorder themselves or have someone close to them who struggled. Not sure if you are ‘over’ your experience? Let’s chat! We often have volunteers in the same predicament. We’ll discuss what worked and didn’t work for them to see if the time is right for you.

If that doesn’t apply to you but you’ve experienced depression or anxiety, that’s helpful! If you merely have a desire to be a kind, caring ear to the mothers, fathers and family members who come to us for support, we’d love to hear from you.

We have a simple application process and a face-time orientation to get you going. You’ll learn about the history of Baby Blues Connection and the basic organization structure. We’ll tell you about needs within the organization and what’s required of these tasks.

Does all of this sound great to you? Be in touch! Click here to read a bit more and to send us a message expressing your interest. And join us at our next volunteer training, February 10th!

If volunteering sounds like a bit too much, consider joining our Board of Directors. Read more here.
