Need reasons to give? Consider our journey to where we are now. We’ve grown exponentially and need your support to continue to grow!

Our organization is now 20-years old! We’ve grown from a handful of mamas who gathered to support one another to a complex network of 2 part-time staff, over 50 direct-support volunteers, a board of directors of 13 members and additional 15 committee members.

Our annual operating budget hovers around $55,000 which pays for staff salaries, outreach printing and mailing as well as minor operating costs such a fees, taxes, supplies for support groups.

We’re on track to reach our goals that are defined by our Strategic Plan. By the end of the year, we will have reached 600 mothers, fathers and providers through phone support alone. That figure does not include group attendance which we estimate to be between 200-300. Nor does it account for the thousands that reach us and find online resources through our webpage.

This year we established a Facebook group which we view as a continuation of our support services, a place for mothers and fathers to check in when they can’t attend group for whatever reason. A safe and judgement free area moderated by volunteers and available 24/7.

Our Strategic Plan calls for support for the following: LGBTQ,  NICU/PICU, Low Income, Post-Adoptive and working mother. We’ve laid foundations for expansion into these areas over the past year: providing education to the volunteers, modifying the training binder, creating brochures and outreach materials.

We’re also diligently working to make accessing services easier and faster by creating a searchable database of providers who specialize in this area.

We’ll update on our progress as we move through 2015. Support us in these efforts today! When you give to BBC, you help a mother, a father, a family member understand what is happening and help a volunteers normalize experiences. We do good and valuable work. You -as a donor- are part of that! We greatly appreciate your support.
