About the event: An afternoon full of stories of postpartum depression, anxiety, and psychosis from the women who lived them. We are not alone in this darkness. And when we are in the thick of it, it’s hard to ever feel like there is a way out. These stories will show you that there is. Please join us.

About the Contributors:
Danielle M. LaSusa, Ph.D. is a Philosophical Coach and Consultant, Professor, and Podcaster in Portland, OR. She uses the wisdom of philosophy to help individuals and organizations live, learn, and work better. She specializes in working with new mothers. Her podcast, Think Hard brings philosophical thinking to everyday issues in culture, politics, art, and society.
Born in Romania and raised in the US, Melania Tolan has twisted tales in her mind since she can remember. She now lives with her family in the Pacific Northwest where the rain, mountains, and ocean provide her a treasure trove of inspiration for her fantasy worlds. Samantha Trask is an elementary school teacher, blogger, mom of two, and former surrogate. She is passionate about living life from a place of vulnerability, regardless of how messy life can sometimes be, and she encourages others to do the same. She believes strongly that everyone has an important story to tell.
