Are you passionate about BBC’s mission and work? Are you a creative problem-solver? Are you a strategic thinker? Are you interested in new challenges? Do you have a specific skill or area of expertise that you’re itching to use? Do you have an interest in marketing, communications, or fundraising? If so, you should consider joining the BBC board!
The BBC board meets monthly, generally in the evening of the first Wednesday of the month at Providence Beginnings in NE Portland. All board members are expected to attend board meetings. Additionally, all board members must serve on at least one committee. BBC’s current committees are: Fundraising and Events; Education and Outreach; Donor Relations; Technology; Diversity; and Grant Planning. Board members are also expected to actively participate in fundraising efforts. Fundraising requirements can be met through soliciting donations from your network, procuring items for silent auctions and raffles, and donating to the organization personally.
