Baby Blues Connection is a pioneering program in Oregon for moms and their families dealing with postpartum depression and anxiety. We provide support in the form of a warm telephone line, written and online materials, a resource list, and support groups.

Few understand that fathers can experience postpartum depression or anxiety, with an estimate nationally of 11-25%, and increasing up to 50% if their partners have postpartum mood disorders.

Dads may feel overwhelmed by changes in the family, may be worried about finances and feel helpless, and anxious. Many lack a support system. Symptoms may differ from that of women with postpartum depression and anxiety, expressing itself as anger, irritability, and withdrawal, and peaking at 6-9 months.

Join Baby Blues Connection as Sam Stevens, LMT, will be speaking on postpartum depression and anxiety in fathers, followed by a panel of speakers with their own experiences to share. Then, partners will join fathers to discuss how they supported each other and how their families overcame the challenges.
